1971 Yamaha JT1-L #15
Sold
JT1-006516
1971 Yamaha JT1 Lighted Model.
Very rare example of the Yamaha Mini-Enduro JT1-L. With the “L” meaning that the bike came from the factory with the headlight/taillight assemblies and switch gear to operate. According to “Lore”, Yamaha had to offer the bike this way in reaction to Honda filling the market with the SL70 as they were originally offered only without. These bikes are essentially the same color etc as the non-lighted model where the next year they offered two distinct models and differentiated them with different colors.
This bike appears to be very original with previous owner pinstriping installed on the tank and headlight bucket. The bike starts and runs well and shifts through the gears Headlight hi and low beams both work. The bike is good as a “rider” or ideally would be a great candidate for restoration. Price includes a full set of my reproduction cables (throttle, brake, clutch) ($75 value) as well as a pair of my reproduction tank badges ($125 value) as well as a few other misc parts that I have for the bike. If you don’t want the parts, you can subtract $250 from the price of the bike.
